  17. I've been through similar problems (although about a year ago, with Zoom's
  18. vFC products). I ran a BBS and tried to use Zooms on it - bad move!  In total
  19. I tried 7 units (4 internals and 3 externals - I had 4 lines) and they just
  20. wouldn't work reliably.

  22. I tossed them and bought USR modems - three Sportsters and one Courier.  95% of
  23. the problems disappeared instantly, and I've been happy ever since.

  25. : BTW, when I explained all this to Zoom tech support, the rep praised the PPI 
  26. : modems while he was trying to figure out the problem with my V.34X!!

  28. Zoom is strange, in many ways.  So are their products.
